Hi! My name is Jenn McKee.

In January 2016, after being laid off from my job as a staff reporter – I’d written about the local arts scene for nearly a dozen years for The Ann Arbor News/AnnArbor.com/MLive Media Group – I felt like my work wasn’t done, so I reached out to various outlets who might want me to do free-lance projects and launched this blog.

While it’s a gathering place for the many different assignments I do, I also wanted to produce some content just for the blog, and maybe include additional voices as well. Though I was first hired to specialize in theater, film, and books, I came to cover a much broader range of events and artists living in the area, and I aim to continue doing so here.
